Bio: Shaun Tai is the Co-Founder & Executive Director of BRIDGEGOOD, an award-winning design studio for good. He dedicates himself to enhancing tech literacy and opportunity among Entrepreneurs and emerging Creatives. Shaun also leads the direction and product strategy for BRIDGEGOOD.com, a web application that connects Creatives to professional opportunities. The platform is supported by Google.org, Walter & Elise Haas Fund, Craig Newmark Philanthropies, and Golden State Warriors Community Foundation — a significant community partnership. Shaun received an MA in Architectural & Urban Design (Interdisciplinary Studies, 4.0 GPA) and a BS in Advertising (Magna Cum Laude, 3.8 GPA) from San Jose State University. Prior to SJSU, he graduated with honors from Cal State East Bay with a BA in Digital Arts and was named “Distinguished Young Alumnus” of the academic year 2014-15.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be remembered.
Growing up, what person made you feel like you could do anything with your life?
My Mom aka Momma Tai - if she could assimilate into a community as an immigrant, operate a business 7 days a week, and take care of my brother and I... anything is possible.
Of your strongest skills, which was the most challenging to learn? (And how did you learn it?)
Having the strength to push through anything, positive or negative, and keep it moving.
What do you now know that you wish you knew 20 years ago?
Kindness is the most powerful skill to possess.
What one thing brings you the greatest joy?
Activities that bring together community.
